Our Mission

The Ballestone Preservation Society was founded to preserve Ballestone-Stansbury House and the collection of American decorative arts (1780-1880) displayed within the interior of the recreated period rooms. The Society also sponsors a variety of special exhibits related to American history, American decorative and applied arts, and the history of the site. In addition to Living History re-enactments, the site also hosts a variety of seasonal events. The Society welcomes all who have a love for American and local history, and an interest in American decorative arts, American social history and community team building and events.
